Napoli have made a move to sign Kevin De Bruyne when his Manchester City contract at the end of next month.

City announced last month that De Bruyne would be leaving after they decided not to offer the 33-year-old a contract decision.

De Bruyne described it as a “business” decision and he still feels he has a lot to offer at the highest level of the game.

According to Sky Italy’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has been in Manchester in the last few weeks for talks with the player.

  1. City are complete idiots for not offering De Bruyne a new contract. Every team in the world should be bidding for a player of his caliber. Then again, City might know the full extent of his injury, and how prone it is to become a problem again, so there is that. He might be damaged goods.

  2. Breaks my heart to see KDB go but going to another PL club wouldn't surpirse me. Easy to forget Viera played for City, as well as the more obvious, Lampard, which is still mad to think he scored against Chelsea

  3. Serie A is exactly the League anyone who is intending to extend their Career in European Top 5 Leagues should be going, I would have preferred Inter Milan for KDB but moving to the Serie A which is slower paced is just the right move. He really has no business going to Saudi or MLS yet.
