  1. Stephen Warnock touched on the fact Liverpool were close to a quadruple at one stage during the season.

This is why I think that Arne Slot needs a little bit more strength in depth to help cope with the demands of the season.

I have read in some parts that the suggestion is that 3 or 4 new players might be enough, but I would be looking for a little bit more than that.

I think that there's maybe a case for signing 6 or 7 new faces.

  2. Depends on what your criteria is, if it comes down to what you've won, yes clearly – but if it's down to how many followers you have on social media, then no. But I think as fans we all know what we'd rather have.

  3. As a massive L’pool fan.. I can say that United were once the biggest club in England.

They had the face(s) of Football in Beckham and Ronaldo at some stage. Everyone and I mean everyone wanted that number 7 kit.. not only that they were winning titles when we weren’t.

Times have changed. Liverpool are consistently in the top 4. Winning trophies. Competing on the biggest stage. We have a few of the best players in the competition/world if not top 3 in their position. Off the pitch, the club is financially stable and reaching new heights.

I think even the biggest Utd supporters will admit that L’pool are ahead of them now.

  4. Klopp might not have as many accolades as SAF, but he did something that SAF did not manage to do, i.e., recommending the board to go and get Slot before he left. Does anyone remember who SAF recommended as his successor? (trick question)😊

Slot was basically unheard of in English football, unless they follow the Eredivisie like me (Ajax are the other team I am a fan of), but Klopp already “selling” us Liverpool fans a song for his successor at the end of last season.

Frankly speaking, I too was among the big section of Liverpool fans who believed that it would take some time for Slot to adjust to the league. Even with the knowledge of how good he was at Feyenoord.

I believe that Slot would win us something this season, but the league title, the most coveted of all, is still a bridge too far. Not in his first season, at least.

    Glad I was wrong.

  5. Will Sky just shut up about the Charity / Community Shield. It is not – and never has been – a major trophy. Just trying to create discussion / conflict etc, as the League is sorted. Relegation is sorted. Just the European places to resolve. Pathetic.

They are heading down the line of Talksport and their shouty / mouthy / clickbait twaddle!!
