  1. Why can’t you be happy for him and wish him all the best, he didn’t cost the club money, served for years and won everything for the club. He should be sent off with a party not all these mixed comments. Way to go TA! 🎉

  2. 'own decision' – his father and brother have financial interests in him – family now independent financially from him & his move to Spain. This is what they needed, not what Trent needed. It's sad to see a guy torn up by this move. Money, the route of all evil.

  3. Problem is it was never his dream to play for Madrid he’s made every single interview sound disingenuous how he wants to play for Liverpool for his whole career he wants to captain the club it was all lies and shows that he lacks honesty

  4. Thousands upon thousands of kids are released by clubs every year. Where's the furore over that? Oh, I'm sorry, football fans only care about a player leaving if he's judged to be a 'top player'. If he's not a 'top player' then his loyalty is unwanted.

  5. There is another side to the argument that Trent leaving for free is bad. If Trent left last summer for a transfer fee, Liverpool wouldn't have had Trent for this season. As always, he's played lots of games this season and has 9 G/A in the league. Would the transfer fee have been worth more than Trent's services this season?

  6. Become a Liverpool legend or go to real. Come on Jamie you are not living in the real world mate. Liverpool is not real Madrid. It never has been and never will be. It's a life changing incredible experience going to real. Not everyone HAS to stay. Some players like Trent are wanted and should definitely go. He has done it all at Liverpool. Jamie you had to stay because you were not in the same league I'm afraid. Just as Liverpool are not in the same league in terms of size and brilliance as real.

  7. Trent has earned the right. He's won everything with Liverpool. That's said, loyalty and integrity are in short supply here. He could of signed an extension so at least Liverpool could of gotten a fee for him of some kind. Or he could of stayed and become one of the few true Liverpool legends at the end of his career. Disappointing how it all played out but nobody can begrudge him the move I guess.

  8. I love how Jamie just thinks that because he never wanted to play anywhere else, that means every other scouser should also want to stay in the same city for their entire life and career and never leave.

  9. Liverpool made big mistake.
2024, they can give 2 year contract to Arnold.
This summer 1 year balance contract and they can sell to real by 35m
But now sending a good player without any fee

  10. I'm not from England, but I'm a Liverpool fan. If given the choice between Liverpool (favourite club) and Real Madrid (the biggest club in the world), I would choose to stay with Liverpool—especially considering the current status of both clubs.

  11. 🔴 Trent Alexander-Arnold is leaving on a free—and it's entirely the club's fault. They had more than enough time to show they valued him, to tie him down, and pay him what he's worth. They refused. Now we’re seeing the consequences.

As for Carragher, he needs to be quiet. He’s doing too much lately. He doesn’t understand because, truthfully, he wasn’t a player of Trent’s calibre—so he can’t relate. His constant digs are becoming toxic, and it feels like he's trying to turn the fans against Trent. That’s cowardly.

What makes it worse is that Carragher pretends to be a Liverpool loyalist, but deep down, we all know he’s an EVERTONIAN. Leave Trent alone! 🔴

  12. I blame the club for not tying him down to some sort of contract that would have a release clause. The club knew the type of contract he was on and it’s criminal they have let this happen. Sheer complacency. I wish Trent well at Real Madrid. Liverpool FC will move on.

  13. I'm a Licerpool fan, not from Liverpool so I don't really understand, but I have no issue with Trent's move. He cost Liverpool nothing, but it's unfortunate they didn't get a big fee for him. Totally understandable that he cannot turn down this oppotunity, after 20 years with the Pool. Won the lot, and he has nothing left to prove at the club really. Don't agree with Jamie that Real are a real adversary or rival in Europe. Real have 15 European Cups, versus Liverpool's 6…get real!! Liverpools rivals are very much domestic. Best of luck to Trent. Wishing him all the best with his move, off to the sun, and to the biggest club in the world.
